The launch date to return to 900 Centerville N. is currently scheduled for January 13, 2019. The building is scheduled to be complete before that; however, once all inspections are passed, much furniture needs to be assembled, the worship team needs extra time for practice and learning all new equipment and sound, all children’s check-in stations and televisions must be installed, and all interior signage and finishing touches need to be put in place. Some amazing elements were salvaged from the old destroyed building that will be incorporated as art!
Pictures of certain aspects of the building taking shape are included below. The RL sign above the front entrance has been installed. The last remaining sign will be set on the brick portion of the building facing Centerville soon.
The children’s areas are coming together and will be beautiful. Below is the flooring in the future nursery being installed.
All bathrooms, lobby and kitchen required new cabinets and counter-tops. Since the photo below was taken, new faucets, toilets and bathroom partitions have been installed.
While planning the inside and outside environments, we considered that our people are the strength of Real Life and purchased specific furniture for the lobby to allow time for people to sit and connect with each other. Below is a photo of the lobby wall with new lights and first coat of paint. We look forward to this space being utilized to see guests being welcomed and new friendships being developed.
Even outside a large paver section has been put in place (by a team of very capable volunteers!) to use as future outdoor gathering space.
Last, but certainly not least, the stage in the new auditorium is progressing nicely. All mounts have been installed for the future screen, final coats of paint are being applied, and flooring is nearing completion.
On January 6th our full ministry staff will be sharing what we have seen God do during this difficult season. As we round third base and head home with construction, please pray for favor as we work with the city on all the various aspects of the necessary inspections. Excited to see what God has for us next!
